Had to shelf Racist Vampires because it was entirely too much for me right now. The same thing happened to me this time last year with a cartoon that I never finished because I got burnt out on it, and I ended up making that kind of lazy Heroes parody out of desperation to have at least one cartoon done a couple months after the Blockhead game.

So I thought I'd whip up a sequel to Mastermind. Rather than arguing with his Minions again, I figured I'd throw in a few new characters and see what happens. Below is a patsy lieutenant of the Mastermind. He hasn't got a name, and he isn't quite as evil as the Mastermind, but he'll do. FOR NOW.

It'll be back, it's just being put to the side until I can get this sucker done. RV has been like a year and a half in coming, so I'm not gonna give up on it just because a few weeks of animating has stressed me out ;)

You new Mastermind character almost looks vampirish. Coincidence?

Anyway, Mastermind 1 was great. Pretty damn funny and the artwork was really good. Did you make that opening scene background entirely in flash?

Your twist on completely evil looking people doing queery actions has been done plenty of times, but yours was different in the way that they actually address it and start calling each other fags.

Also the pair of tits is always a nice touch.

RV is a character comedy (my stab at something like Voigt's Greasy Moose series, whose characters I love), while Mastermind is part character comedy and part parody of the whole bad guy genre. I'm not worried about Mastermind turning into, say, another Austin Powers kind of movie though.

That's actually the case - when I started animating Blockhead, I thought it would be considered kinda vulgar in an out-of-mind sort of way (although it was always supposed to be technically 'clean'). Of course, I'm glad that Blockhead has fans of all ages, but Mastermind is supposed to be my explicitly adult toon for everyone else :D

Probably won't see it turn out that way - Blockhead is extremely challenging to write for (it's not as random as folks claim it is), whereas Mastermind is just kind of a compilation of whatever funny thoughts I've had in a given period.
