The thing I loveeee about Blockhead, SO MUCH in fact, is the Highly Detailed backgrounds. I need to know something, do you animate first and then draw the backgrounds or just the opposite?
I tried animating first for my last movie, but then I didn't even bother putting effort into the backgrounds because...
1) I was too excited about submitting.
2) I figured they don't matter(But they really do, a lot)
3) The movie had a reason for poorly drawn backgrounds (So I had a scapegoat :P)
and 4) The Swain has an incredibly soothing voice.
Not sure which is better, but i belive putting a rough bg, then the important ieces (such as stuff very close to the character), animating, then drawing the bg properly, would save a lo of time if you decided you did not like that scene.

you can see every tiny little flaw with your movies, and so it doesnt look as good to you as it does to everyone else? cus i get that, its really annoying

I SAID IT AGAIN, and I will say it a million times, Mike, you should go to work in the cartoon network studios. i THINK that in the U.S.A. they have some shit called "adult swim" (we have no cartoon network aadult swim here in mexico). and all that they show is cartoons so bad tht they wouldn even pass judgement here. ¿have you seen some piece of shit cartoon with fries and a shake and a meatball or something?

I used to like Aqua Teen Hunger Force but they ran out of ideas pretty quickly. The ATHF movie wasn't even very epic or engaging :( It was just a long episode that they had obviously stretched out of necessity.
But if I got into professional cartooning, I'd have to give up all these neat little hobby projects that I enjoy making so much. I'm in no rush to advance that quickly :D But maybe someday, right?

how do you make your graphics look so crisp?
Consistent line thickness. Know how hard to press down the pen and stick with that the entire time. Drawing things at varying thickness is very amateurish and shows, unless you know what you're doing and have a reason for it (such as adding thinner detail lines after the main, thicker outline).
What size of the brush do you use? (and do you draw your work at 100% view) It's so smooth....
I learned a while back that it's best to draw at 200% with the 2nd brush or 400-800% with the 4th brush. The only thing I draw at 100% is my layout, which I then go over on top of and which no one ever sees.

Yes, and they're also 'racist' against vampires unlike themselves, or of a different breed (yeah there are other strange types of Vampire, like in an Anne Rice novel). I'm just strictly avoiding their being prejudiced against human races, as it were.
