My favourite Blockhead episodes were 7 and 8. The house scenes do get boring, and it's nice to see Blockhead outdoors - even if in Episode 7 he's not really outdoors, and I agree to give the Conscience more creative ways to pick on Blockhead.

And get rid of the Weevil, IMO. He's creepy :S

Episoe 6 was the first time I got a taste of Blockhead and the Conscience out of doors, and I liked it so much that I decided I needed to find a new way of doing it in Episode 7. From then on I pretty much made that the standard, yet the house is always been involved in some way (an essential way, mind you, because of the ACTUAL backstory to what's really going on in Blockhead).

As for the Weevil, I'm playing with a way of making him more weird than creepy. The bald head, bloodshot eyes, and green shirt make him look too much like Salad Fingers already, so I need to steer clear of that ;)

ABOUT BLOCKHEAD!

I think everyone who likes blockhead likes him for his dumbness. That he just says things that makes no sense. So you should keep him like that, but maybe in other places, or situations.

That's a good reminder, thanks. He used to take normal situations that people might be in and completely screw them up, but not so randomly that it's like he spontaneously made it up, so much as that's who he is.

Seeing Blockhead interact with other people about town always has humorous outcomes. Oh, and singing. You should deffiently do some more of that.

I'm writing lyrics to a song + animation I intend to create down the road, but it's not Blockhead :O

The more singing the better. I like blockhead when his is random my favorite 2 lines from blockhead are :

Watch your language theres little kiddies around (Ans then he hits the kid)

I am land shark i can swim threw water as toe it where land

its the older episodes of blockhead which make me laugh, but the newer episodes just amaze me with tha animation and art. i absolutely love it when blockhead says "mousie!" and pulls that funny face

i love blockhead and weevil is awesome i loved the blockhead flash movies u should kep making blockhead flash movies

M favorite Blockhead would probably be the one running around the mall acting stupid...or on the bus...or downtown...ya downtown...stealing things and destroying everything else...the weevil is...wierd...but it's funny to see the conscience react to him...I think you should keep him...I also think it's funny to listen to the conscience yelling "YOU'RE STUPID" and Blockhead yelling "SHUT UP" or whatever...but for me some things just don't get old...SOME things...most things actually...Blockhead is one of those things that can just make me laugh...the conscience killing himself is kind of overused...but I love Blockhead and all of your work

Tbh, when im watching Blockhead, i've never really thought about the effort that goes into "making it funny". I always assumed you were just some insanely witty guy that threw the hilarity out without batting an eyelid, as if it came naturally to you ...now i see that you (as well as some other animators i might add) think you are struggling to keep the "magic" alive in their series, and are very self-concious about how any minor change to the series will effect the overall fanbase' view on it.

For me, the hook on Blockhead has always been the childlike mannerisms like the fascination with tongs and his spontenaity in response to his surroundings. The thing is, he doesn't think about the consequence of his actions...he doesnt even think about the actions, he just gets the idea, and carries it out without hesitation. And i wouldnt really consider his actions 'random' either. Like Hyrus said, he doesnt do what he does 'randomly'. He does them in response to something he finds fascinating.

It's not that I struggle to write Blockhead, so much as I am trying to put a bit of effort into making certain he doesn't become too different. I take it personally when the characters in shows I love deviate away from what I used to like about them. I could just keep writing for Blockhead and just crap on the old fans because I know I can get new ones, but really I'd rather keep doing it for the people who always HAVE supported me, rather than those who someday may.

you should finish what you start you know?.... in the meantime of the production of "RV" you have submitted mastermind 2, mastermind game, pass my flash.... and now you are in for mastermind 3.

are those little bloodsuckers doomed to be trapped in a comic forever? or will your talents let them be?

by the way, yeah its not good to abuse of certain jokes. that was the problem of Retarded A.B. 20. i dont know if you have seen it.

I think Blockhead should have some scenes in the mall again. Don't we all just love releasing our favorite yellow head smiley into public causing mass destruction?

Plus, I think Blockhead should take his Weevil for a walk sometimes (lol)

Blockhead has been an NG classic for a while man, I can see why you're having problems keeping up with the demand (from yourself and viewers)
I've never liked drawn out series that scraped the bottom of the barrel so much they got splinters, repeating joke after joke, and creating a gimmick of itself.
Some series can keep up with this, but only if they do it from the beginning.

In my opinion, Blockhead should be put aside for a while to age, then brought back when you can compile some ideas.

I'm enjoying your other new flashes much more than the recent blockheads (Maybe because I am attached the old animation style.)

Your artwork is orgasmic, if I can be so forward.

I have the Broken Saints DVD (someone bought it for me for Christmas) and the voice acting is WONDERFUL!
I was really enveloped by it, in ways I hadn't been before...

And I have to agree with you on the Newgrounds issue. It really is more for FLASH than Animation, but people are drawn by the community friendly interfaces, and judgement system. Not like Atom films.

ANYHOO..Always a fan, looking forward to more of you.

Sometimes it feels like Blockhead has been aged too much when four, five, then six months pass without a new episode. I never rush episodes, but I'm getting so dangerously close to being accused of avoiding them that I don't know who to trust on the issue anymore :D

I'll have to give the B.Saints dvd a try if you think it's worth it, I admit I'm genuinely curious where the graphic novel scene is destined to go with actual backing.

I'm torn between whether I like the old or new blockheads more. On one hand, I think I found the older ones more amusing, but on the other hand I like the focus on a type of storyline and the better graphics in the new ones. As for my preference between the house scenes and outdoorsy ones, I'd go for the outdoors ones now. The house scenes were hilarious for the first few as they established the relationship between Blockhead and his Conscience. I'm not saying that the two of them by themselves are played out at all, but it has accomplished its purpose. As for the Weevil? He's a situational character. In some spots I'm sure he can be freakin hilarious, but so far he hasn't hit a chord with me. For my favorite Blockhead, I'd have to go with mean Blockhead. I don't know why, maybe I'm just sick that way. And, finally, as for the flash graphic novel I have to say I've tried watching that Broken Saints series and I've never been able to sit through more than the first one. I'm not saying anything you'd make would move that slowly, I'm just saying I haven't seen a good one yet. Oh well, I've rambled long enough, carry on with the animating!

B.Saints was dangerously slow, you're dead on about that. I would never make that mistake, and I know an infinite number of ways to avoid making a production monotonous. Thanks for the insight! You're right about the Weevil having a right and a wrong time to be around.

Blockhead is Blockhead. He is the unpredictable. He is the sole basis of the word "random." The qualities he possesses are too cherishable to wither away.

But I completely understand your dilemma. I used to be a hard core Spongebob Squarepants fan a few years back. The third season was epic. It was the peak of Spongebob comedy. But after the motion picture and into the fourth season, the true atmosphere and feel to the show was gone. The show is not as touching as the episodes before it.

But everything changes. Life changes. We run into things. We get ideas, we get pressured, we are affected. But its all a part of what just happens.

I totally understand your thoughts. The old hit sketch comedy "Monty Python's Flying Circus" is some of the funniest stuff ever created. Great ideas like the ones they hatched take pure comic genius and require incredible patience and brainstorming. As I said, don't be pressured by the people to transform your genuine character into something he's not.

Definition of random: lacking any definite plan or order or purpose; governed by or depending on chance

You cannot have structured randomness. Anything idea that pops into your head is random. The difficult part is taking the random ideas and applying them to humor. You can't think "Oh yeah, that would be totally random." Random IS random. It just comes to you. And some great ideas just pop into your head. Never start off with an idea that you doubt could provide the best entertainment (that's where being rushed can come in). Some ideas are "magical," some are not.

I make comics a lot. There is never a definite main character, but I keep the same style in my comics. Usually in them a teacher is being made fun of. Sometimes the things I draw are so dumb. Others I think, "Holy mother of God, this is the funniest thing i have ever thought of."

Now, since I've gone Dr. Phil on you, I'll give you my opinion on Blockhead. He's great. Hilarious. Randomness makes me give in to laughing on the floor. It's just so funny to me. I think Blockhead has stayed random pretty well, too.

When Blockhead was confined in his house, we could really see his true randomness. It's not like he's interacting with anyone (except conscience). When he's in his house, there's not much to do, so he invents things, creating more randomness I would say. But out in the humongous world, there are so many ideas and stuff he can interact with. Its not like Blockhead's imagination is running wild, it seems more like he's just being annoying and generally, well, annoying! I especially liked when Blockhead had crap thrown all over the wall (especially the pizza, I liked how it slid down the wall), that was just pure randomness. In the latest episodes where he wanders around, it seems like he's just terrorizing everyone with his idiocy (which is still pretty funny, but just doesn't seem to have that "kick").

But then again, new ideas come in, new thoughts, new revolutionary ideas. Anything can happen. You may think of the greatest joke in your life, and it could be the funniest Blockhead ever created.

My advice: keep your senses open. Don't worry about making a new episode in light speed. Anything can trigger your imagination.

As a viewer, I would say, do what's best for Blockhead. And you'll know what is.

Well, I personally think the best Blockhead is the Hyperactive-outdoors one. I really liked the episode when he went to the park, how it started innocent and got worse and worse..

I showed my friend Blockhead and he showed somebody.. And so on and so-forth. Now without realizing it I brought dozens of more people to Newgrounds. Now, most of my friends like Blockhead with the Weevil, and Ghostmas. I'm trying to think of specific scenes they liked, well first of whenever Blockhead ate something like the toaster, a hat, or just put something in his mouth. Tongs are funny. Whatever happened to the Radishes? Also, many of my friends liked the weird insults or statements like or "You old bag of rats!" and "I'm harvesting the nails this season! They're coming in nicely this season."

The Conscience is quite funny, I liked it when he called Blockhead stupid in repetition. When I think of the Conscience I think of George Carlin (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeSSwKffj9o">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeSSwK ffj9o</a> - Why can't I link?) Even if he isn't a lot like George Carlin with the ranting that's just who I think of. I love Blockhead the way it is, my friends like it when he's stupid and annoys/hurts civilians.

Off topic: Do you have any idea when Episode 11 may come out? Or when Mastermind 3 may come out?

Also, for my friends birthday I was going to order him a T-shirt from your website, how long does the shipping take for the US?

Thanks.

By the way, this just struck me as I was reading through these Comments. You should suggest a Blockhead day to Tom, imagine hundreds of fans posting Blockhead doing stupid things.. Just an idea.

Are Egoraptor's claims true? ARE YOU REALLY A EIGHT FOOT SIX MONSTA?!

I'm 6'2" but I'm sure I look monstrously big to most folks...though Ego's not exactly short, so I don't know what he's going on about.

Are you having a writers block, or are you just scared of what people will think when your style of humor improves so much that it is not the least bit similar to the first episode of blockhead?
Personally I believe that a writer should do what he or she thinks regardless of what other people think, because If you push yourself into the style of humor of today it could result in something you don't like at all. People like what your doing now (love the new backrounds).
If your having a writers block, I have an idea. Remamber when you said that you loved the hyperactive blockhead a few coments ago? Well mabye you could try doing something like blockhead crashing a party or going to a place with alot of people (Carnival, waterpark, Party, etc) I can't emagine what it would be like if blockhead got drunk...Heh heh heh.........................HEH!

PS-Have you started the script for Blockhead 11 yet?

Blockhead:
the first bit i cant think of an answer for so ill go onto the bit about which blockhead i like :3. i just like completely random blockhead that doesnt seem to care about whats happening to him (ex. where instead of climbing down from the sign he has just spray painted ghostmas onto, he just falls flat on his face and gets up smiling)

I FUNKING LOVE THE WEEVIL!!!

i just love everything about the blockhead series, and i dont think its possible for you to make anything bad with blockhead. the mastermind series is also a great series, not quite as good as blockhead but thats understandable as you put more effort into blockhead (i think) bleargh! you dont need my opinion you own everybody at comedy and voice acting on this site :D

LMAO Jesus wasn't a vampire. Thats funny as hell.
