oh and graphic novels arent my thing, i beleive i watched a whole 1 episode of thamesis when it came out before not being interested enough to watch another one :/ but if you made something funny like your ani comics i would enjoy that as i love your ani comics :D

I like the blockhead series. I like that blockhead has a discordant consciounce. Though I was sure that blockhead looked the way he saw himself, and the conscience was really him because everyone else around him looks normal. Somehow he'd managed to flip them around--the looney. lol, I'm not sure I believe it's only his conscience.

I think you should do what you think is funny. Even though blockhead has a definite humor to him, re-using jokes is like watching an episode twice--which is bad... However, just like words are events repeatable. How many times can you use a joke in the one sentence? paragraph? chapter? ... novel?

I think it's three. Just because you use the same joke twice, doesn't mean it's less intelligent. Use it in different contexts to make new meanings. Try to make the joke pass more quickly the more you use it. Short sharp humor is just regular humor but faster. The number of different jokes you have is your dictionary. Write new sentences with the jokes you have. Ah, permutations. Re-arrange different sentences to make new paragraphs. How fast can you read? Do you find the majority of humor like a sedative?

Ren and stimpy used different facial expressions everytime they did something even faintly involving their face. Is consistant newness a style in its self?

Im more a viewer than a flasher, and I can say I appreciate fully developed series like Broken Saints and Thamesis even though they are peculiar. Remember Salad Fingers? I dont.

I agree with you in that it should be a FLASH site over an ANIMATION site. An example of such a FLASH site would be Newgrounds and its Games section. I can, however, understand the view that regulated material is good material. On the same agenda you should persist with jokes many people enjoy--even if you think they're stupid. Besides, blockhead is already a hit, and a little change here and there wont hurt so long as nothing to bizarr makes it turn it into something else.

Personally i love mean blockhead. Like for example in the most recent episode Blockhead said to conscience "Watch your language, little kiddies are around" and then he wacked the kid over the head and he fell over without the mother even noticing. I laughed SOOOO hard. Same thing with the begining, when he was mean to the kid trying to go to sleep who wanted to go to cheerleading camp, well this is just my opinion

HOLY SHIT (am i allowed to say that?) you have detailed it sooo much!!! mastermind 3 will be awsome, you even got the moon shining through the windows, how long did this take you to draw?

I've started timing myself not in hours, but in eras.

I know I said it before, and I'll keep sayin' it - make a tutorial and teach us mortals your style! My plan is to keep nagging you with this, until you snap and do it

=P

Believe me, I really want to but I'd hate to mislead people with techniques that work for me but would ruin everyone else's. I'm trying to look into a bit of traditional technique so that explaining it becomes a little easier.

merry ghostmas spork pie cow!!!!!!!111111111111111

and damnit you're taller than I am

I'm really not sure what to say about Blockhead. I mean, I've been a fan for almost a year now (and you already know that), but I'm not really one to inspire.

If it helps my favorite flash of all time is Blockhead 7. Blockhead wasn't stupid to the point of being predictable or boring, he was just being an asshole, and the conscience's reactions and demands were priceless. That's how I like Blockhead.

The thing about Blockhead is that when you start to evolve in your writing in animating skills, you previous projects seem to pail in comparison to all the stuff you're doing now. The material is always fresh, but you seem to be trying too hard in the later episodes in order to stay fresh in the eyes of the Newgrounds viewers. The Weevil is a perfect example of trying to introduce a new character to make things seem "new". This is what many long running animated shows on television do in order to not seem repetitive in the eyes of the viewers. Shows like The Simpsons and Spongebob Squarepants are perfect examples of this "practice". What I am saying is that you need to keep it the way it was originally. Don't worry about what people say. No matter how hard anyone tries, you can never please everyone, especially on Newgrounds. As for constructive criticism, you need to do somewhat with Blockhead like what you did in the first few episodes. Like him running the his refrigerate and all you see is a knife, drain clean and a cinderblock and all he does is name them as random foods. That was true Blockhead material. The conscience needs to be somewhat angry, but at the same time "mellow". Being too angry can make a character seem annoying and unfunny at times. Other than that, his angry is right on the perfect level. I hope this helped.

I certainly don't want to make the Conscience so angry that he ruins the vibe. That's something I probably take for granted: the ability to make sure it doesn't go overboard.

About Blockhead, I like his new hair movement, I also like the house scenes but I would also like him to venture out more and do stuff(destroy, annoy, piss off, etc.). What I don't like is the characters like his neighbor, never does anything GOOD about it(destroyed property, that kind of stuff.). I would also like to know more about the weird, mysterious weevil(although I don't really care about him(it?)). I also like Blockhead when he is in ADD mode. I also like the "randomness". I guess its not really random but It looks random for the average guy that it becomes really humorous(Stop sign thing, in time squad, "I am very good at answering questions, I said I am very good at answering questions! Sign my velociraptor![Right spelling?]). I would also like you to delve into Blockhead's past(could he be a Hyper-genious?, could he be a warrior from the future disguised as an idiot? stuff like those) Oh yeah! i'm a bit bored of the neighborhood and it would be really cool if he travelled to another place(vacation) or something. I would also like the conscience to be a tiiiinyyy bit more "Okay... Please... don't hurt anybody....and *blockhead interruppts* HEY!!!!! YOU SAID YOU WOULD HEAR ME OUT!!!!!" And how on earth did you make such a beautiful picture? PLEEEASSSEEEE....... Teach me how to do them!!! I am making a flash right now and my shading looks weird!!!! Please reply!

Blockhead's hair has its own dedicated layer, just to make sure I have enough room to work with it. I'm really stingy about making new layers so that's a big deal for me.

i like blockhead even if you change it or not hes still funny but sometimes im bored
when conscience says shut up idiot but i still like the suicides but why did you removed it? but im still looking forward for blockhead ep. 11 if theres gonna be a blockhead

I <3 U AND I LOVE UR FLASH MOVIE MASTERMIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not fan of you anymore...
You see, I live in Finland, and you made Mastermind to blow this place up!
This is an outrage! What do you say, if I show this to our President?
Answer me!!!

I'd do it again if I could.

Generally I like Novels, but when its done in flash (like Broken Saints) i don't enjoy it, for some reason it seems more boring then when reading a novel comic or book on paper.
Also, your Mastermind series are kickarse (much better than Blockhead).

Blockhead porn please.

Madness dildos plz.

Actually that's a great idea, get on that asap

You are funky dunky, love.

And I have to agree with you, about the Boosh, the third series was funny, but not gold from the heart of Shoreditch like the first two. On with the show, though. In my most humblest humble opinions (the ones about women), remember that the Conscience is a mastermind idea, but he's only funny when he's, Iunno, kept in the balance between angry, responsible, afraid for the lives of the general populace, and full of disdain. That's what makes him funny, but it gone a bit tilted towards disdain, which does get dry on it's own.

And more extreme actions from Blockhead, as in, from the STOP scene as the norm, goes to him abducting a baby or something. It's only funny if it's unexpected. But you've got the reactions of the people just right. And Mastermind was a MASTERpiece (wit of a rock...), so congrats on that series.

I've just written you a lecture by accident. Oh well...

HOW DO YOU FEEL? MASTERMIND 3 WAS ONLY ON THE FRONT PAGE FOR A DAY.

More like 20 minutes. What, you think that when the poo toons come down, Tom plans to start over with new cartoons?

How many episodes do you intend to make for the "Mastermind" series?

No intentions, we'll just see how long I can go on with it eh?

I think your stearing the Blockhead in the right direction.
Honestly the newest (Ghostmas special) was one of my favorites.

The destructive Blockhead is hilarious. He has some kind of innocent violence. even though he is vandalising everything, it is often not enough to cause serious consequences. (Well, some should. They just don't) But that's good.

I think you wore out the house episodes. There is only so much a character can do in his own home. It is still fine to maybe have an intro, or in betweem scenes there, but setting Blockhead into the open world is hilarious.
Hilarious because it's definately not something you'd want anywhere near you or your family.

I'd say my last point would be to get rid of Weevil. He had a good joke or two, but I think the character got worn out pretty fast.
Newer, more exciting characters always add entertainment value though

so swain youve been working alot on mastermind lately....and of course you have the mastermind sereis pretty well strated any other projectes in mind?
