Glad it's finally catching on.

It may sound strange, but your suffering is my pleasure.

I love watching movies with long, uncut camera shots, knowing it probably took them an entire day of shooting just to get the shot right, because if one person screws up then the entire shot needs to be done again...but then what you see in the film is the fruit of all that labor. Taking that as an example, actually seeing the effort that your characters and settings resonate...it's really an experience. Independent animators are constantly in competition between the benefits of time spent to increase quality versus the risk of dragging a project on too long without adding anything fundamentaly worthwhile via that effort.

But seeing effort pay off. that's where I get the most fun out of someone's work. I really do look forward to more success from you.

Salute!

Swain! Thank you very much! It is truly an honor hearing from you and I'm blushing from the praise =D. I'm really glad you appreciated it, I put a lotta work into it and I'm happy it shows.
Thanx man!

Hurray for Pico/NG Day!

And a special thanks FROM The Swain <3

I still think the ending is really solid, and the colors have only improved from your last update. Well done!

ImpendingRiot responds:

Thanks dude, yeah.. I wanted to call it 'finished' but I kept tinkering right up to midnight

Swoosh!

Neat concept! I liked that it wasn't about the flipbooks so much as the transitions between them. The character's comical run at the end felt pretty enthusiastic, I don't know how else to describe it but it had the kinda flare that I enjoy.

And I don't know if you watch much of the Greasy Moose series here on NG, but the final stage of your character reminded me a bit of Gooseman ;)

Jasmerrin responds:

Wow... I'm just amazed that you've seen and liked one of my movies. You're one of my biggest heroes in terms of flash animators, and your comments are very much appreciated. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Also, Greasy Moose is a series I haven't followed, but I'll definately check it out now!

Thanks!

I let the Oh Snap scene loop quite a few times...

...just to make sure :D

Boooooo, bring back Gay Banana!

"I love you as a friend Gay Banana, but nothing more!"

tlgmedia responds:

We still have those audio files. Maybe next year?

Goodness

An incredible meshing of Frame-by-Frame with Tweening. I'm impressed with the way you used Flash to the maximum of its capacity.

There were some errors with the captions because of a terrible bug with Flash 8 (I don't know if it carried over to Flash 9), so maybe look into that if you've got the time.

Otherwise, I am very impressed with your animation style!

Nightwayfarer responds:

wow, thank you, im honored of getting a review from you :)
I guess, if you really work hard on it, it get's done well)

i'l try to do something with the bugs

I think Hans's was one of my personal favorites, and I only finally understood the premise of the collab by the end: It's a bunch of music videos to the same artist's music. Haha, I went "OOOOOOOOH" when it hit me.

Anyway, my favorite entries were the ones that told a story without the assistance of the music. I don't judge Flash toons on the music accompanying them, but when they make use of said music as a tool rather than a crutch, it can be very satisfying. Some of the entries fit into either category but mostly the former, which gives me faith in this and future StWPt collabs :D

squeakytoad responds:

Hans and RWappin certainly won the audience choice awards.

Thanks for the comments, man. And congrats on PMF2, you guys did a great job on that; and I suppose if there's any collab to get beaten out by, that's certainly the best.

YES

Bahaha, I didn't even read the Author line before I clicked this, but as soon as his head started bouncing around in place, it betrayed you, Zekey. It betrayed you. You've got a pretty distinct flavor to your work, BUT YOU KNEW THAT DIDNT YOUUUU

-Swain

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

hi!

How...what...another one so fast?!

YOU SON OF A BITCH JEFF, DON'T YOU KNOW I SUBMITTED MASTERMIND 2 TODAY. GET OFF MY PORTAL.

Had a smirk on my face all through the flick, and I laughed quite a bit to boot. Your comedic timing is something to be envied. You're like my own personal Adolf Hitler, Jeff, and you just animated the hell out of Poland. TAKE THAT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH.

Also, watching Tankmen has become a real lesson in arithmetic. If it weren't for my profound education in timelines thanks to Chris Lloyd and Mike Fox, I might have lost track of what the hell is going on anymore. Fortune smiles on you this time, Utah. This time.

JohnnyUtah responds:

haha ill take SECOND place FINE WITH ME!

GET EM

I knew this was a Bomtoons submission before I even clicked it. No else one loves Ninja Turtles more than I or Toonimated but you.

Well done :D

-Swain

BoMToons responds:

Ha ha, dunno how I got a TMNT reputation, but I certainly love me some turtles.

Hurray

Loved it!

Glad you didn't settle for a stale white background. Felt almost like a light show, too.

Keep it up, I hope to see more!

Gate-keeper-girl responds:

KYA!!! THE SWAIN!

White = evil to me *hiss*

Did some Blockhead. Made a lil' Mastermind. Co-created Madness: Project Nexus. I love you so much!
