Haha

Haha, "Ingus on Drugs". Is he discussing it, or doing it? Clever foreshadowing pun, I thought :D

I also found this one funnier, maybe because Ingus's secondary characters strike a good contrast to his own personality, though I noticed Ingus didn't go quite as wild this time around.

KupaMan responds:

Thanks for the review, Swain. It's good to hear from my peers about these cartoons.
Ingus wasn't too off-the-wall this time. The other characters were either nipping it in the bud or going along with it. Ingus 9 will be different, if I ever get around to it.
Thanks.

I liked it...

...but Matzerath already did this cartoon. Granted, the quality of yours surpasses his by leagues, but it told the same story via the same means.

(Title: Mr. Twitcho, Author: Matzerath, NG submission #186739)

Of course that doesn't make this submission any less great, but it was kind of predictable as this has been done before.

Nevertheless, fantastic work as usual!

Weeeee!

Haha, even though I did my own voice for this 'toon, I'm still surprised at what a jerk you made me sound like :D And I loved that Adam Phillips part.

This was some well-constructed sketch comedy. It even felt like a late night comedy show, with the band at the end and everything :) Glad to see it done at last!

munchmed responds:

thanks Mike!
Now wheres the next Bockhead? :P

What I've been getting at.

See, this is what I've been getting at.

I know that this isn't a typical rtil toon. I also know that you prize animation pretty highly when it comes to NG submissions, so I'm judgmental when you don't live up to the personal standard that you set for everyone else. However, when you actually go and live up to it (as is the case here), then I have to admit that it's very satisfying. Did I say that? Yes. Yes I did.

You know those crabby little skidmarks who jibe and scathe submissions without cause? Well, I'm glad to see that you're not one of them. This submission comes across as an investment that justifies your fervid participation in the NG community, so you won't see me diminishing that.

I <3 my rtil today.

-Swain

P.S. I'm submitting another you-know-what in the next 2 days, so prepare to be angry again, haha.

rtil responds:

i just try to visit the portal as little often as i have to so i don't end up upset like i usually do after watching a few cartoons

well i myself had been anxious to submit something that was not parody or satire so it was relieving to make something like this. glad you enjoyed it.

Well, I liked it. :D

Assuming this is original content (not talking about the song!), then I hope this cartoon lasts forever. I love pirates, be they dead or alive.

-Swain

:D

Haha, why?!

-Swain

Meebs responds:

OMG I LUV YOU.
Thanks though heh...

How fortunate!

Chris, I still laugh as I write this. Imagine a Swain with a big stupid grin on his face, struggling to finish his beer despite the devastating chortles brought on by a senseless, yet glorious cartoon. That was certainly the best closing line you've yet provided, and I'm eager to get this review over with so that I can watch it again. Haha, Gooseman's mountain villa. All priceless, Chris, all priceless.

I suppose it is fitting that I should find this cartoon submitted today. I spent tonight at a bar with a friend, shouting "FOSTERS, AUSTRALIAN FOR BEER!" in my best/worst Austrailian accent, until the Australian stranger sitting next to me scoffed and we struck up a conversation about it. Naturally, I thought of my favorite, greasy moose in the process.

AND I am glad to see Gooseman in combat, as is his legacy.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

you know fosters isn't drunk much inside of australia, and i understand its not even owned by australians these days...but that aside, thanks! senseless, yet glorious, i like that description.

i'd like to see gooseman in combat again too, maybe with more actual animation next time, but we'll have to see...

Crying.

I hope your friend Jeremy gets better from his head accident!

I <3 you.

You can almost sense the lynch mob.

Forward: I wanna say that I'm rooting for you, James, because you've provided a lot of inspired content to this site for a long time.

That having been said, I still suppose I'm with the Do-Not-Sell-Out crowd on this. Sure, you didn't ruin anyone's life here, but your "Buy it, or get out!" approach probably just ruined your relationship with a truckload of fans. I don't know whether or not it was your intention from the outset to invest years in a series and then put the ending on the other side of a toll bridge, but it hardly matters if everyone thinks as much.

Don't get me wrong, I still like your artwork. I liked it almost as much this time as when you used it the first time in previous episodes. And yes, I understand that this is your career rather than your hobby as it is for some of us, but look at IllWillPress and think hard about what happens to career cartoonists when they forget that it's the fans who pay the bills.

Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers for you because it's still pretty clear that you care about your product. However, you're going to need your fans, and they won't give up on you if you demonstrate that you haven't given up on them either.

Would have been fine...if this were a comicportal.

I know you can animate, rtil, but why the picture collage? A series of still images set to someone else's music with script to replace any spoken dialogue. And yet again, ANOTHER cartoon about someone else's character? Come on, you're better than that. I mean, the only difference I see between this cartoon and the traditional Foamy cartoons is that illwillpress actually animates his.

I don't imagine that this was supposed to provide deep, profound insight into the devilish workings of the Neurotically Yours series, but to offer a casual cartoon about how much it sucks. But even so, most everyone hates Foamy anyway, so why the statement? Whose minds were you trying to change? Come to think of it, you've now contributed to the Neurotically Yours page on this website. Congratulations: you've made the series stronger. Mission accomplished?

-Swain

rtil responds:

I haven't made the series stronger. Every attack on Neurotically Yours has been successful in that it changes some people's minds or brings them to a revalation about where the series has been going all these years.

If you think about the title of the cartoon, maybe you'll figure out why I made it. It's part of a phrase.

I spent 3 days on this, and I didn't want to spend any more time on it. Simple as that. There is some animation in this, and while there are some still images it doesn't make up the entire cartoon. And by god I actually drew Foamy and Germaine in several different poses, something he never does.

But enough comparisons, it was a fun little side project. Typical newgrounds, though, everyone is taking this so seriously.

Did some Blockhead. Made a lil' Mastermind. Co-created Madness: Project Nexus. I love you so much!
