Simple and effective

Simple and effective. You know how to do a lot with a little, that much is quite obvious.

Goodness

An incredible meshing of Frame-by-Frame with Tweening. I'm impressed with the way you used Flash to the maximum of its capacity.

There were some errors with the captions because of a terrible bug with Flash 8 (I don't know if it carried over to Flash 9), so maybe look into that if you've got the time.

Otherwise, I am very impressed with your animation style!

wow, thank you, im honored of getting a review from you :)
I guess, if you really work hard on it, it get's done well)

I think Hans's was one of my personal favorites, and I only finally understood the premise of the collab by the end: It's a bunch of music videos to the same artist's music. Haha, I went "OOOOOOOOH" when it hit me.

Anyway, my favorite entries were the ones that told a story without the assistance of the music. I don't judge Flash toons on the music accompanying them, but when they make use of said music as a tool rather than a crutch, it can be very satisfying. Some of the entries fit into either category but mostly the former, which gives me faith in this and future StWPt collabs :D

Hans and RWappin certainly won the audience choice awards.

Thanks for the comments, man. And congrats on PMF2, you guys did a great job on that; and I suppose if there's any collab to get beaten out by, that's certainly the best.

Style was below par (that's a good thing btw)

I am a fan of the "New Retro" cartoon style, and I'm quite pleased that you didn't abuse it. Also thought your background and scenery style was appropriate. I have a disease where I just draw until I think a background is done, with little planning other than mapping out the general perspective., but I'm not sick to the point where I can't recognize another's skill in that area.

I couldn't understand the voice of the second character so well (or probably the first either, although all she did was sing along to popular lyrics, making it easy to figure out her speech), so I would recommend more emphasis there. As for animation and artwork, I have nothing to recommend - you've got it down. Maybe to spice it up, a new camera angle from time to time during a long sequence like the intro.

Oh, and the second character also wasn't that visually expressive during her lines. I'd suggest exaggerating her motions the way you did the first character, and then you're set.

I'll check back sometime to see if you've got any new submissions. I'm hopeful of your future! :D

LESION

Heh, "we are lesion". An adorable pun <3

Tom's voice sounded like an Arfenhouse character.

Some of the pacing of the song seemed a little haphazard to me, mostly in the vocal rhythm. So I blocked that out and focused more on the visual presentation, which was great, minus the beginning where the tweened gifs kinda give the false impression that that's what kind of film it was gonna be.

YES

Bahaha, I didn't even read the Author line before I clicked this, but as soon as his head started bouncing around in place, it betrayed you, Zekey. It betrayed you. You've got a pretty distinct flavor to your work, BUT YOU KNEW THAT DIDNT YOUUUU

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

hi!

How...what...another one so fast?!

YOU SON OF A BITCH JEFF, DON'T YOU KNOW I SUBMITTED MASTERMIND 2 TODAY. GET OFF MY PORTAL.

Had a smirk on my face all through the flick, and I laughed quite a bit to boot. Your comedic timing is something to be envied. You're like my own personal Adolf Hitler, Jeff, and you just animated the hell out of Poland. TAKE THAT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH.

Also, watching Tankmen has become a real lesson in arithmetic. If it weren't for my profound education in timelines thanks to Chris Lloyd and Mike Fox, I might have lost track of what the hell is going on anymore. Fortune smiles on you this time, Utah. This time.

JohnnyUtah responds:

haha ill take SECOND place FINE WITH ME!

GET EM

I knew this was a Bomtoons submission before I even clicked it. No else one loves Ninja Turtles more than I or Toonimated but you.

Well done :D

-Swain

BoMToons responds:

Ha ha, dunno how I got a TMNT reputation, but I certainly love me some turtles.

Amused!

Rather than writing an essay, I'm just gonna agree with Bob. I didn't think it was an embarrassing exhibition, just a little submission that maybe you were trying to have fun with. However, color me disturbed :O So here's a 9 to balance out Bob's 10. There must be equilibrium in the universe.

And you look a little like a young version of JMTB02 :D

Enjoyed!

Thought the title was a pun, wherein "Race" across the rainbow was about the white guy always being the cause of the black guy's misfortune along the course. He did seem to be causing him a lot of problems. Are you *sure* that wasn't the real message? :D

I have kind of a natural dislike for white backgrounds, but there was plenty going on to distract me away from it. If you had to do it all over again (and judging by your author comments, I'm gonna wager that you'd rather be boiled in acid), I'd recommend doing something with the distant background to make it more appealing. Everything in the foreground was a-ok, though!

Did some Blockhead. Made a lil' Mastermind. Co-created Madness: Project Nexus. I love you so much!
